Feel The Blues

Fashion’s favorite fabric never becomes obsolete. In fact, sometime around, it had a little sleepover but it is now back in a truly worthy style which is both rebellious and fun. Take your style inspiration from these Bollywood style icons and go for jeans, shirts and jackets in patchwork style.

Beating the Heat with Chic Summer Outfits

Summer-Maxi-Dress-with-Sleeves

With scorching heat hitting the roof in summers, it is tough for us to stay covered from head to toe. However, it is not enough to wear only tank tops and shorts to beat the heat. For most of us, it’s quite tricky to select clothes that appear to be modest outfits while not suffocating us in the extreme summer heat. So what exactly to wear in summers, under the blazing sun, if tanks and shorts aren’t your thing? Indianroots suggests a few tips on keeping it stylish while being modest:

Avoid Denims
Of course, denim jeans look good with almost everything, but this is one thing that you will have to avoid during summers, to keep your body cool. Due to its thick fabric and tight stitching, you can surely place your jeans at the back of your wardrobe until next winters. In summers, jeans can be substituted with harem pants, palazzos, chinos, cargoes, or any of the limitless variety of loose-fitting bottoms available at indianroots.com.

Looser is Cooler
Summer is the time when women choose to wear tight-fitted outfits to flaunt their body silhouettes (after all many people work hard at the gym to have a perfect beach body). However, experts suggest that flowing, loose garments like tunic tops, jumpsuits and maxis are ideal outfits for summers. Apart from enabling better air flow, these outfits simply look great, feel comfortable and are quite fashionable.

Avoid Wearing Layers
Since the majority of summer clothes feature short sleeves or none at all, women urging to dress modestly often end up wearing layers underneath or on top to cover up; as a result, they sweat excessively. Instead, you should select clothes that don’t require you to wear multiple layers.

Pick The Right Fabric
Wearing the right fabric under heat will leave you comfortable and your skin glowing. As weightless fabric allows your skin to breathe, it will cool down your body and make you sweat less. Experts recommend linen and cotton as the two fabrics that should be preferred during hot and humid weather.

Fashion Struggles of a Short Girl!

1

Short girls are cute but according to our style experts at Indianroots, these little ladies go through a lot of struggle when it comes to fashion. Here are a few fashion struggles you would relate to if you are anything under 5’3”! Keep reading:
  • Never-ending visits to the tailor
This goes without saying that you are a regular visitor in that tailor-shop at your locality because most of the clothes that you buy need an alteration. You know that you need your tailors forever and this is the reason you are always extra nice to them.
  • Maxi dresses are sour grapes
You try to conceal your love for maxi-dresses because you know that they do not look that flattering on your tiny silhouette. Yes this is sad but instead of getting disappointed you must look for other options that suit your body type.
  • Oversized T-shirts are not your cup of tea
The fashionista in you sobs silently when you come across women who look effortlessly stylish in oversized tees. Oversized items are cool but they completely drown you and make you look shabby, so it’s better to shift your focus on well-fitted tees and tops.
  • Finding the perfect pair of shoes is a difficult task
Tiny body comes with tiny feet! A lot of short girls find it difficult to find footwear that cups their feet perfectly. They often have to compromise when it comes to fashionable footwear!
  • Tired of being cute
No matter how many efforts they put in to look sexy but petite girls somehow end up looking cute all the time. Being cute is good but short girls get tired of being called “cute” every time.

Fashion tips for job seekers!

1

There always comes a phase in life where we rush from one job interview to another in order to find a suitable job position. In the middle of this craziness, people do not pay enough attention towards the clothes they wear to the interview. Experts from Indianroots say that your dressing sense reveals a lot about you, especially during a job interview. Read on to know a few tips that can help you to make a positive impression on the interviewers:
  • Invest in well-fitted blazers
A blazer is stylish yet formal and is one of the classiest apparel that you can wear for a job interview. Style experts say that every job seeker must invest in a few dark hued blazers such as black, navy blue, khaki and dark gray. Skip the tie if you want to, but a matching tie would help in accentuating the overall professional look. So go and buy a few well fitted blazers and get ready to face the professional world with ease.
  • Simple and comfortable shoes
Wear simple and comfortable shoes while going for an interview so that they can blend in with your formal outfit. Make sure that your shoes are neat and tidy. Avoid wearing fancy shoes as they would be too loud for the sober environment of the professional surrounding.
  • A professional bag
Always make it a point to carry a nice professional bag with you while going for a job interview. It would add on to your professional appeal and would make you look responsible and well organized. Apart from this it would also help you to carry all your files and documents in an easy manner.

Fashion Advice For Lazy Men!

FL-1

Fashion is often considered to be a women's domain, and men have been perceived to be lazy and careless when it comes to being fashion conscious. Well, the style squad of Indianroots doesn't really agree and feels
that by making just a tiny bit of effort even the laziest of man can look stylish and presentable.

Here is some fashion advice for all you lazy boys out there:

1) Don't Ignore Your Shirt Collar
A worn out color is the most evident sign of a lazy man. The collar of your shirt is a very important but fragile part of a man’s clothing, and says a lot about you. In order to look smart and well-dressed, always make sure that you wear shirts or t-shirts with crisp collars.

2) Wear the Right Innerwear
Majority of men do not pay attention to their innerwear and this reflects in their body language as well as in the fit of your clothes. Make sure to find an ideal brand and fir for your innerwear that makes you feel super comfortable and confident.

3) Stop stuffing your pockets
Men need to understand that there’s a difference between a BAG and a POCKET! Most men literally use their pockets as backpacks and stuff them with million things such as wallet, car keys, cash, etc.! While we know it is really convenient but it makes your pockets to swell out, affects the fir of your bottoms, and makes you look really shabby!

4) Length of your pants!
You might be lazy but you need not reveal it to the world by wearing unhemmed pants! No matter how handsome or good looking you might be, a pair of unhemmed trousers or a length that doesn't suit you can ruin your overall look. So if your trouser is streaming past your shoes then you better get it altered before stepping out, and be aware of the length that best flatters your form.
